Texas Chainsaw 3D is 2013 American slasher film directed by John Luessenhop and written by Debra Sullivan and Adam Marcus. It is the seventh film in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, and will be presented in 3-D. The film stars Alexandra Daddario, Dan Yeager, Tremaine Neverson, Tania Raymonde, Thom Barry, Paul Rae, and Bill Moseley. The story centers on Heather, who discovers that she was adopted after learning of an inheritance from a long lost grandmother. She subsequently takes a road trip with her friends to collect the inheritance, unaware that it includes her cousin, Leatherface, as well. Filming began on the summer of July 2011, with Kirsten Elms and Luessenhop providing rewrites to the script. Texas Chainsaw 3D was released on January 4, 2013.

Story of Texas Chainsaw 3D

Picking up where the 1974 original film ends, the citizens of Newt, Texas decide to take the laws into their own hands and burn down the farm house of the Sawyer family for their role in aiding Jeb Sawyer, also known as Leatherface, in countless murders. The arsonists are celebrated as heroes in the town, and the entire family is presumed dead according to official police records. However, an infant, Edith Sawyer, is found by one of the townsman, who left the mother for dead, and adopts her along with his wife.
By 2012, Edith had been raised by her abusive parents with the name of Heather Miller (Alexandra Daddario). One day, a lawyer informs her that her long lost grandmother, Verna (Marilyn Burns), has left her an inheritance, and Heather learns of her adoption. Angered by the fact that her adoptive parents lied to her her whole life, she sets out on a trip through Texas with her boyfriend Ryan (Tremaine Neverson) and two other friends, Nikki (Tania Raymonde) and Kenny (Keram Malicki-Sánchez ), with little regard to her mother's warning.
